For some idiotic reason she'd never be respected if she had a romantic relationship? The resolution to their troubles was ridiculous. Love this author's stories. Wade and Heath were terrific cowboys.
Samantha was strong, sweet and smart, except that she took the wrong message from her father. He did not mean for her to look like a man, but to command respect like one.
Intimate Illusions (The Callens, #6) by Melody Snow Monroe
The feed store guy treated her that way because of her own insecure ways, not because she was a woman. So in that I agree with a few other reviewers.
All-in-all I enjoyed this story. The cowboys are walking hotness, and the romance sizzled. I want to say, I have never written a review until now but going back and seeing all of the 5 star reviews for this book has led me to do so.
The writing style in this book is horrible. As soon as I started the book, I had a feeling that this wasn't going to be a writer for me. The entire book felt very elementary. It was like "See Jane chase Spot down the road.
Brittany's Destiny [Pleasure, Montana 4] (Siren Publishing Menage Everlasting)
Spot stopped to smell the fire hydrant so Jane was able to catch him. Jane took Spot back to the house were he was scolded". Convert this same type of writing into various sex scenes and you get the picture. Needless to say, there was no flow to the writing and the use of the same terms throughout the book for certain female body parts didn't help either.
